GARAGE366 INTO CRICKET!?

"Hailing from the streets of Al-Ain, team GCC (Garage366 Cricket Club) is a squad of power-packed, exciting cricketers led by Haroon Qadoos. The team consists of young but experienced group of semi-professional cricketers who have played and dominated tournaments both locally and globally. Through strong friendships and an undying passion for cricket, they have reunited to conquer the city where it all began.

GCC, previously named KPK, has already claimed bragging rights at the Al-Ain Summer League, and the Ramadan Cup in Al-Ain this year. They won both tournaments and as champions, we are looking to defend both titles next year. With consistent contributions in the Ramadan Cup, captain Haroon was awarded the Best Batsman award, while the stylish all-rounder Salem AQ bagged the Man of the Series award. This team’s fearless Opener Nabeel Butt was declared the Man of the Final for his belligerent batting at the Ramadan Cup. They also boast a fierce bowling attack with pace upfront, and quality spin bowlers to undo any batting line-up they face. Their standout feature however, is their fielding. Known in Al-Ain as sprightly on their feet, this team thrives on choking oppositions through reliable catching, and extremely sharp ground fielding.

In their very first tournament with a new outfit and Garage366, a Dubai-based marketing firm, as the sponsors, team GCC has made it to the Finals and are playing the Autumn Cup Final tomorrow, 16th November at the Al-Ain Equestrian & Golf Club.
